About Us:
Berkshire Balloons has been operating in the Connnecticut and Farmington River Valley's and Lictchfield Hills since 1981. Pilot Robert Zirpolo has been flying hot air balloons since 1980 and airplanes since 1991. He has FAA ratings as a Commercial Balloon Pilot, Airline Transport Pilot and Flight Instructor with combined flight time of over 5000 flight hours between the two aircraft types. He spent 10 years as a Designated Pilot Examiner for the FAA and still remains as an active FAA Safety Team Representative.
